About

The film and event series Arctic Voices offers Indigenous voices and stories a platform in Bern in October 2024... But how did the project come about? Who was involved in shaping Arctic Voices? And what perspectives do Indigenous perspectives open up here in Switzerland?

Projectwerkstatt

Arctic Voices 2024 was planned as part of a monthly project workshop (Projektwerkstatt). Interested individuals and groups were invited to actively help shape the concept and programme.

Logo

Máttáráhkká - Mother Earth - is one of the Sámi goddesses. The reindeer horn below symbolises a sacrifice. Are we today sacrificing Mother Earth and the Indigenous Peoples? I feel that this is a great image to use [for Arctic Voices] as we all should listen to the voices of our foremothers.
